SCULPTURAL METAL/TIMBER FURNITURE
HANDMADE IN DAYLESFORD
Stefan Nechwatal opened his bespoke Gallery, Workshop and Sculpture Courtyard at his rural property, Paradiso, in 1996. As a designer/maker of decorative furniture, sculpture and garden art, much of Stefan’s inspiration is from world architecture.
From his extensive research into Country Furniture, Stefan’s unique style evolved which encompasses influences from Gothic, Roman, Spanish and Moorish cultures. These early passions have continued to the present, expanding into Sculpture and Garden Art.
Stefan’s frequent exposure, as a child, to a range of powerful physical images of exotic buildings, grand gardens, ancient furniture and rich furnishings strongly influences his decorating style. Recycled metals and timbers are used extensively to create a feeling of age, and mosaics are often introduced to bring exotic color to individual pieces.
