About Us

Since 1979 Stefan has been making handcrafted quality furniture and furnishings for the interior and exterior, for the home, garden and business. Initially concentrating on unique Country Furniture in recycled timbers, nowadays, whilst timbers are still implemented, Stefan’s focus is more on recycled steel and mosaics. At times, Stefan creates artworks which incorporate both metal and timber.

In 1987 Stefan relocated from Melbourne to Daylesford and purchased a rural homestead at Sailors Falls. The property adjoined Sailors Creek and its twin waterfalls which spill vertically into an exotic rainforest gorge with walking trails, a picnic/parking area and several mineral springs.

A huge old barn fronting the road was a feature of the property and Stefan chose to rebuild this structure as his Gallery and Workshop. The Gallery has a remodeled front with full size “shop” window which allows visitors to see a substantial range of the quality artworks even when closed. The side gate of the Gallery leads on to an alfresco area, a courtyard where artworks for the outdoors are on display.

Over a period of years, Paradiso featured in many Open Garden events. Today the roadside at the front of the Gallery has been extensively landscaped to provide privacy, shelter and further areas for displaying Stefan’s artwork, as well as off-street parking.

The well-known restaurant and function centre, Sault, set in extensive lavender fields and overlooking their huge lake, is within a “stone’s throw”.
